Monday with Peter

Today was different as I shared my Ruby's experience with Peter who was in good form, although we disagreed heartily about the the film 'Manchester by the Sea' which he loved and I hated. So be it, we agree on most things but not on this film. On the Italian film 'Perfect Strangers' we were in total agreement, and it was a good way to finish our coffee on the same note.
Here is Pauline with fascinated young girls by her side. It is the example of her following that she does have a percentage of the Australian public behind her, as she is down to earth, simple, and strong, if totally ignorant and misguided in some areas.. Very much like the Donald Trump phenomenon in the the USA.
The old and the new, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Bret Whitely's widow Wendy, talking about a garden in Lavender Bay which she has tended, albeit on State owned land.
The boss Josh on the move at Ruby's
Another example of totally corrupt land dealings in NSW. It is the norm unfortunately, and the reason why we  don't trust developers.
Art on bodies looks pretty amazing when young, but when they get old and loose....
What is happening in Egypt -  yet again an oligarch is set to take power because of wealth, charm and family. The average Egyptian has no power at all
This is the big sports news of the day, a young charismatic Rugby League player from Samoa being caught betting against his own team and admitting to an addiction to gambling ..but it has opened a can of worms and why wasn't he found out and kicked out before? The young Pasifikas are a breed apart in their naiveté and ability to be seduced by big money and bright lights. This young man needs his own Whanau to surround him and teach him some big lessons.
