Lunch at home

Well it was a perfect day to welcome Willi and Robert to my humble bayside home (for the moment).
The balcony..

Le service....

So I have prepared something simple, but original, and hope their palettes will accommodate my adventurous style of cooking.

To start is a salad of watermelon cubes tossed with tiny squares of Bulgarian fetta, a tiny bit of chopped red onion to give contrast, and a sprinkle of African Dukkah.

Then a chicken breast pieces and brown rice affair, hopefully married well, with eggplant, onion, garlic, red and  yellow  capsicums for colour, cocoanut cream, seasoned with salt, pepper and cajun pimento.

Then a small cheese platter, camembert and blue vein. And to end, my famous whole orange and almond cake served with homemade yoghurt.

And the day is sunny and special.

After goodbyes to W and R I attend ECK meeting at Viva's to meet new young seeker - a good meeting. Catch a strange but good Swedish movie  afterwards called Force Majeure at The Paramount. It was not a comedy, but a psychological drama which won the Certain Regard Award at Cannes recently. Very Bergmanesque in character if not in style.
