When will they ever learn.....

It is the old Bob Dylan song, but one has to live in hope. Ths year in NZ it is thirty years since the legalisation of homosexuality and this picture showed you what it was like in 1986 in Wellington.
Cities have changed quite a bit but the thinking in rural area is still very behind I am afraid.
The newspapers are remembering what it was like....
And here they are still offering sugar to kids at school, in drinks and sweets, no difference to sixty years ago in my country.
Some atricities need to be shown to be happening as they are nearly beyond belief!
Mark Reason loves sport to be loved, not to be a business. Winners secrete the right endorphins when they love their sport.
Perennial comparison but both have unutterable beauty spots....
Rueben and Paris in their profile....
Last night I saw the students of Wellington College and its sister colleges put on this excellent example of William Golding's classic book. And they were very good. The dramatics arts are alive and well in the Kiwi schools.

I am so impressed with the education here, especially in music and the arts, and I feel my education was sadly neglected in these areas. But this country is for them I see now, in all its seeking excellence and over-achieving sometime. It may be because of the distamce and smallness they feel this strong need to be the best, and in many cases they are!
We poor Aussies are often not up to their standard but then our lifestyle is probably more relaxed too.
