Launceston luxury

First stop after a wonderful afternoon with Homyra is at friend and former antique dealer Peter M.'s home. He lives on the hills of West Launceston with expansive views over the city and surrounds. He inhabiits another era, and another dimension sometimes. Also he is an accomplished chef and always feeds me too much, so this visit I plan to be strong and say no.

Our meeting at Homyra's turned out to be more than just  a mini catch-up, as thanks to Homyra's initiative she had rung up Eckists in Launceston and Golden Valley who jumped in their car and did the three hour trip be with us. Homyra had prepared a beautiful and sumptuous lunch and we all had a marvell time. Ros, Homyra's best friend and ally, also came and was  a welcome addition to our group. It was a great turn-up and I was indeed very chuffed that they all made the effort to be there..

With Homyra's dedication I see now a real future for ECK in the Hobart region. As they were returning that afternoon  to Launceston I went back with Maria and Brent and forewent my bus trip, quite happily.
