Friday before Auckland

Today is preparing for Auckland, three days, two nights, one on Waikeke Island, the millionaires' playground which was once the hippie paradise, and one in suburban Auckland, a bit more real. Norma's luxury house on the island is straight out of Dynasty or Dallas, so it is interesting to see how my small taste of this life is digestible, or not?
Spending  the Sunday with Pam, then Robyn, will bring me down to the ground where I am more comfortable. It is a busy weekend as the Gay Pride week opens and the Swim Carnival is on the Moday when I leave to return to Welly.....and beloved Memphis, which I am missing already.

Kiwi mania for classic and vintage cars..

..this looks like it is worth a visit.

...or even this, at Levin!

Francesco   Ventriglia discovering what it's like to be hairless, he lets everyone know in the Dom Post!

Tonight is a good finish to the week with a Satsang at Flashdog Studios, and curiously last night also an Aussie crashed on the couch for the night, a lady friend of Tanguy from Melbourne. I didn't catch sight of the girl but Tanguy seems now quite settled in with his new job at Bivouac. Tonight he visited the Cuba Street Friday night Market and found it a buzz, which I also think it is. He is really getting to like Wellington and it seems to like him too. May be a Gemini thing, who knows? Howell appears to be happy too, so here's hoping...
