The frontline news is NZ winning the Sevens fest, but inside is awful news of two boys aged ten and fourteen driving a stolen car and dying in a crash after having been chased by a policecar. It was in Masterton, a country town in the Wairarapa where there is little to do and nothing obviously for these pre-teenagers to do but steal cars. This is a sad and sorry situation which exists in much of rural New Zealand.
Last night was a great night at dancing and I partnered Jenny from UK who confided in me that her son is getting married to a man twenty years older than him. She is delighted and will go back for the wedding. She is also a great dance partner. Mari returned last nght and was also in fine form.
Tonight I am back to Tiwhanwhana and my practice of the poi. Much to do there!
