WOF Day - awrrgh!

My beautiful Bella being all of fifteen years old, nearly, has to undergo a yearly check-up called a WOF, and it only costs $65 - that is, if everything is AOK. She is in great form or so I thought, but VeeJay has discovered rust on the brake discs which he says need replacing, costing only $400 !!! So you see how I am feeling, a bit scrunched up. This is not what I needed when my two flatmates are moving out next   week.

Oh well, trust in the universe and lock up your camels, I will pay the four hunded smackers, the brakes were working perfectly well before, but these mechanics, BMW specialists, are sticklers for having it in  perfect condition. I suppose it's like going to the dentist, better to have a good one than a careless one, but it does cost a packet. And then I'll put my ads in Trademe and find the housemates, shouldn't be a real problem. My dreams have told me I will get really good ones.

A very tony visitor to Memphis..

These are the flagsliked by the PM John Key

Perhaps I like this last one best.

Memphis playing the Blues

Great music here today, some lovely soulful blues, just what I need in this state of mind. Things are a bit rough at present, drama with Body Positive, car problems, and housemates to find. Just do it one at a time and all will be OK. But the music and company here at the Belle is always a help. The sun has just come out as well so I should be happy.

Have just printed some photos of my last trip to send to Douglas in San Francisco so that will be a good start to the day, I'll write a letter to him and feel better, he is such a good friend, and pen-friend too. The days of letter writing are nearly over but some people still do it and I am one of them. Life in letters is a lot slower and easier to deal with, texting is terrific for some things but not for personal lives!

More photo ops for the PM

Mark Reason weighs in with the dirty mix of politic and sport with this latest picture of the AB's tour for the World Cup being launched at Parliament House, something which hasn't been done before and which of course, is a political ploy by John Key. Rufby is the nation's religion and as such, should not be mixed with politics, but there are no rules when it comes to dirty political fighting.
The Captain Richie McCaw, has even been signed on to support the PM's preferred flag, the Silver Fern, no bias there...!!! Richie is not the sharpest knife in the pack, and is being led by the nose. Perhaps his brain also is bit bruised from all those Rugby knocks on the head? Possible...

Now to pick up Bella and later I have my first HU song at Flashdog Studios, much anticipated, and then the Scottish Country Dance night.
